Wilton A. Dyson was born on November 20, 1933 in Wilmer, La to the late Arthur and Harriet Brumfield Dyson, who preceded him in death.
At an early age, he joined Silver Creek AME church where he was baptized, which later became Union Chapel AME Church. He loved to sing and go to church, that was his strength.
