Eastside Church of God in Christ, Independence, La mourns the loss of one of their church mothers. Mother Willie Dorothy Bates went home to be with her savior, Thursday morning, Jan. 9, 2020.  She was born November 29, 1934 to the late Dock Anderson and late Margaret Ruffin Anderson in Arcola, LA.

A Visitation is scheduled, Wednesday evening at Richardson Funeral Home from 5pm-7pm. The Funeral service will be held at Gordon Richardson Church of God in Christ, Amite, La. at 11am
