On March 18, 2023, the angel of the Lord received the precious soul of Sister Wanda Denise "Niecy" Turner Price for eternal rest in His arms.
Wanda was the only child of Rose Marie Pool Herald and Ernest James Turner born on December 15, 1971 in Washington, D.C.
Sister Wanda accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age. Sister Wanda was united in holy matrimony to Carlos Price and out of that
union birth two children, Aysia Price and Daris Price. She later became engaged to her beloved fiancé Patrick Mcarthur. She loved her children
and fiancé and enjoyed spending quality time with them. Family was important and she would always encourage them to do what is right,
teaching them to stay together and show that same love to others.
Sister Wanda was a loving mother, an encourager, and helper in the community. She attended Potomac High School in Oxon Hill, Maryland and
graduated in 1989. Following, she enrolled at the illustrious Southern University and A&M college in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She continued her
education at Northshore Technical Community College in Hammond, Louisiana and graduated in 2004 as a medical assistant. She was employed
at The United States Post Office and served as the first black Postmaster in Tangipahoa, Louisiana for many years. She loved people and never
turned anyone away. Her home was a place of refuge where one could receive love and comfort.

She was preceded in death by her late stepfather, Walter Herald; grandfather, Wilton Pool, Sr.; grandfather, Jesse Turner; grandmother, Lesteen
Turner; two uncles, Charles Pool and Wilton Pool, Jr.; one aunt, Barbara Pool Johnson; two cousins, Turkessa "Mar" Pool and Andrea Pool, two
nephews, Wilton Pool, III and Donnell Hartley.
