Thaddeaus Elliott Womack (Tokie), was born to the parents of Jeffie V. Womack
and Vergie Norman Womack on November 15, 1950. He was married to the late
Sondra Hampton.
Thaddeaus was a high school graduate of St. Helena High School, Greensburg, LA,
class of 1968. He attended Grambling State University for three years selecting
psychology as his field of study. Thaddeaus was employed by International
Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 1077 out of Bogalousa, LA for 10 plus
years. In 1977, he and fellow co-workers installed all of the electrical wiring for
the Hammond Square Mall in Hammond, LA.
Thaddeaus accepted Christ at an early age. He started his Christian learnings at
Venable Chapel A.M.E. church, Buckley Temple C.O.G.I.C., Lizard Temple
C.O.G.I.C., and Gordon Richardson Temple of Deliverance C.O.G.I.C. of Amite, LA.
Thaddeus is survived by four children: Helen T. Harris (Isiah) of Baker, LA; Jeff F.
Womack, Livingston, TX; Terry Burks (John), Atlanta, GA; Joseph Butler, Buffalo,
NY; Grandchildren: Avery I. Harris, Sondra M. Harris, Juwanna Joseph, Tanekeia J.
Diamond, Chelsea J. Diamond, Amber Burks, Justin Burks; Two loving and devoted
sisters: Brenda W. Burton (Clarence), Bonnie W. Hampton all of Greensburg, LA;
an adopted brother: Kenny James Womack of Baton Rouge, LA; foster brothers:
Clarence Roberts (Valencia) Zachary, LA, Danny Holiday of Greensburg, LA; four
foster sisters: Claretha Topps (Ronnie) Hammond, LA, Tammy S. Miller (Andrew)
Monroe, LA, Latesha Holiday, Tenisha Robertson, Greensburg, LA; sister-in-law:
Bettie T. Womack, Greensburg, LA; a devoted aunt: Cora Warren (Irvin)
Independence, LA,; a devoted niece: Kimberly Burton, Greensburg, LA; and a host
of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Thaddeaus was preceded in death by his parents, Jeffie and Vergie Womack, a
brother, Price F. Womack, and ex-wife, Sondra Hampton Womack Robinson.
