Pirley Mae Brumfield Ware was called home to be with our heavenly Father
on June 17, 2021.
She entered into this life on September 8, 1932 to Homer and Sebell Brumfield.
She had thirteen siblings, Richard, Pete, Realus, James, Arsenia, J.D., Murray,
Albert, Alex, Hollie, Monroe, Gertrude, and LS. Her parents made sure that her
home was a strong Christian home and encouraged Pirley to remain faithful unto
God.
Pirley Mae was joined in marriage to Ernest Ware, Jr, in which their union
produced six children, Marion Ware, Maria Gauthier (Willie), Alise Ware,
Charmaine Farve, David Brumfield (Sabrina), and Richard Brumfield.
She was a faithful member of Turner Chapel AME Church Roseland and Union
Bethel AME Church in New Orleans, where she actively served under the
leaderships of Rev. Larry Lucas, Sr and Rev. Tom Brown, Sr. respectfully. She
was a member of the Women's Missionary Society, the Steward Board, and the
Lay Organization.
Cooking was her passion that she turned into work for the Orleans Parish
School system as a cook. Later in life she used her people skills driving a
Taxicab for numerous years in New Orleans. Mama Pearl was known for the
best Gumbo and loved to sew and read until the very end.
She had a loving spirit and enjoyed being around her family and her church
families. Mama Pearl really loved her home of Roseland and time in the
"country."
Pirley Mae is survived by her loving children Maria Gauthier (Willie), Alise
Ware, Charmaine Farve, David Brumfield (Sabrina), and Richard Brumfield.
Grandchildren LaQuicha Ware, Stephen Washington (Jennifer), Jeffery
Washington, Emile Washington, LaToya Ware, Marice Collins (Kevin)
Monique Thiel, Shantell Dixon, David Thiel, Da'jonae Dixon, David Dixon, and
Shamar Farve and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her father and mother, her spouse, siblings and
one daughter Marion.
