Minnie Lee Cook Magee passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2020. She was born January 4, 1936 to Elbert Cook and Edna Mae Robertson.
She attended Tangipahoa Parish training school and O.W. Dillion High School. She was united in marriage to Marshall Magee Jr. in December 1952. To this union ten children was born.
Minnie joined Temple Chapel Church in her early thirty's under the leadership of Rev Herbert Garner. She was a member of the gospel chorus until her health failed.
She leaves to cherish her memory nine children; Linda Magee Warner (Frank), Charmaine Magee-Hill (Roy), Lecia Magee Coleman (Renigo), Toujana Magee Stewart (Paul), Katrinka Magee Chester (Eddie), Tabatha Magee Hookfin (Quentin), Lasabre Magee Bell (Darnell), Bristoll Magee, and Calvin Magee (Phyllis): Thirty-one grandchildren, and sixty-seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchildren.The eye of her life were her twin granddaughters Mia and Mya Magee.
Proceeding her in death was her grandfather Simpson Robertson, her grandmother, Kitty Wilson Robertson, her mother Edna Mae Robertson, one daughter, Valerie Magee, one granddaughter, Starkesha Magee, one son-in-law, Roy Hill, four uncles and two aunts.
A private service will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Richardson Funeral Home.
