"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith!"

Maurice Brumfield was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 24, 1964 to Mr. Joseph and the late Etta Mae Brumfield. Maurice departed this life on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at St. Helena Parish Hospital in Greensburg, Louisiana.

Early in life Maurice accepted Christ and became a member of the Second Nazareth Baptist Church, under the Leadership of James W. Young, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He later joined the Big Zion A.M.E Zion Church under the leadership of the late Rev. John Mabry, where he served as an honorary usher and kitchen assistant.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his father: Joseph Brumfield of Loranger, La; two children: Maurice and Tyrese Brumfield of Velma, Louisiana; One brother: Troy (Sharon) Brumfield of New Orleans, La; once sister, Josette Brumfield of Loranger, La; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Maurice was preceded in death by his mother, Etta Mae Brumfield, and one sibling, Baby Brumfield.
