Mary Lee (Mert) Harris was a caring and loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister and Friend. God called her home on November 12,2021 at the age of 71. She passed at her home in Fluker Louisiana. Despite her medical battles she was always strong until the end.

Mary Lee Solomon was born to the late Carrie bell Solomon Brumfield and Frank Solomon on October 23, 1950. She was educated in the Tangipahoa Parish School system where she met and married Jasper Harris Sr. Mary obtained a CAN degree. Mert loved to bring joy through laughter. Her greatest joy was to be around her family.

Mert leaves to cherish her seven children; Jasper Harris, Sandra Harris, Eric Harris, Gladys Bennett(Reginald), Willie Lee Harris(Tina), Charles Harris, and John Harris(Stacy). She had 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She also leaves her three sisters and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mert is preceded in death by her parents, Carrie bell and Frank Solomon, her brothers Wallace Solomon, Frank Solomon, Lionel Solomon, Harold Solomon, and sisters, Betty Solomon, and Bobbie Haynes.
