Deacon Louis G Johnson
, 84, left us on January 10, 2021, with his family by his side.
Louis was born on May 28,1936 in Liberty Louisiana to the late Louis and Sarah Johnson. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior at an early age. In his younger years of working Louis used to drive a truck hauling logs but once he decided that hauling logs would not be enough money to support his family he decided to move to Oxnard, California.
When in California Louis became a carpenter for 35 years. Louis Johnson had a passion for singing gospel music and at the age of 6 Louis began his singing path. As a result Louis sang for several different gospel groups which including the Southern Nightingales in Mississippi. While in Oxnard California they formed a group called The Oxnard Jubilee where Lewis's Number 1 song is Saved and Sanctified.
Deacon Johnson will be dearly missed by his family. He leaves to morn his passing ,his wife Betsy Johnson. And is survived by his is children Michael Oxnard of California, Valerie A Baton Rouge Louisiana, Renee Sheila, and Kenneth of Kentwood Louisiana, Kizzy Johnson San Francisco California, Louis Johnson of Ventura California, Deborah Mississippi, and Ronald and a host of grand children and great-grandchildren . Lewis also leaves his extended family, the children of his wife Bessie that loves him very much, Kentwood Louisiana.
