Leroy Jones Jr. was born October 24, 1950 to Leroy Jones Sr. and Earline McMillan in Independence, Louisiana.  Leroy was educated in the Tangipahoa Parish School System where he graduated from West Side High School.  At the age of 26, he joined the United States Navy which allotted him the opportunity to travel the world.  He retired after 20 years of naval service.  After military life, Leroy then pursued a career as a military installation Security Guard in Suffolk, Virginia where he worked for 16 years.  On the morning of November 12, 2022, Leroy departed this life peacefully at his residence.
