Jonathan Sullivan

Jonathan "Jon" Sullivan was born on November 16, 1995 in New Orleans, Louisiana to John K. Sullivan and Marcella Wells Sullivan.

Jonathan and his family became residents of Natchez, MS after hurricane Katrina in 2005, and Natchez has been home to him for 14 years, but he would be sure to make it known that he was born in New Orleans!

Jon's duration in Natchez afforded him the accomplishment of being a graduate of Natchez High School's graduating class of 2013. After high school Jonathan became employed at Office Depot and later the Pepsi Cola Beverage Company.

He developed some very close friendships after the big move to Natchez. Jon had many close friends but to mention a few; Jaremy Ail and Curtis.  If you saw Jon around town or out in the ministry most times he was with one of them. He never met a stranger. His vibrant smile and humble personality was one that we will always remember. One friendship that Jonathan cherished was with his sister Jarnee. The two were quite a pair! They were inseparable.

He valued friendship.  His loving and caring personality made it evident throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with friends, whether it was playing basketball with the fellas after the meeting on Sundays or out in the ministry.

He also had some hobbies that many may not have known, for instance, he enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. He enjoyed playing tennis with his dad. Jon also had a special interest in writing poetry and photography.

Jonathan loved Jehovah God. He was baptized on June 9, 2012, that day he dedicated himself to the one and only true God, Jehovah. Being a part of the Natchez Congregation, he grew to be a spiritual person. He reached out for responsibilities becoming a ministerial servant. His desire to assist other in the congregation was profound. He took responsibilities serious such as assisting with literature distribution and assignments such as reading the watchtower. He had a great love for his brothers and sisters in the congregation.

His favorite scripture was 1 Corinthians 9:24-"Do you know that the runners in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win it!" During his lifetime Jonathan worked hard to win.

Jonathan leaves to cherish his memories his parents: John and Marcella Sullivan, sister: Jarnee Kelley Sullivan, his maternal Grandmother : Lena Smith Wells, and host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and many many friends!

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Frank Sullivan & Teretha Williams Sullivan; uncles: Patrick Sullivan, Frank Seymour Sullivan, Louis Sullivan; and his maternal grandfather : Theodore Wells, Sr.
