Mr. George Washington 77 was born December 18, 1943 to the late George Washington and the late Helen Washington. He departed his life on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Hammond Nursing Home.  Mr. George was a native of Roseland and lived there his entire life until his departure.

He leaves to cherish his memories three sons, James Lee (Regina) Poindexter of Hammond, LA, Darren (Toni) Poindexter of Anchorage, AK and Gregory Brooks of Roseland, LA ,9 grandchildren, 8 great children, 5 sisters Rose Washington, Betty Vernon, Joan (Clarence) Jackson from Roseland, LA, Margaret (Bobby) Miller from Hammond, LA and Susie (Thomas) Mims from Union Spring, Alabama, a special friend Nina Poindexter from Hammond, LA and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

George was preceded in death by his parents, George Washington and Helen Washington, 3 brothers Robert Lee Washington, James E. Washington, Sam Washington, his maternal grandparents Susie Wilson and Henry Wilson, paternal grandparent Margaret Ross and George Washington, Aunt Mary Seals, Uncle Dave Seals, nephew Henry B. Lee and niece Jacqueline L. Seals.
