Frankie Louis Hookfin, Sr. was born on Sunday, November 19, 1961 to the late John David Hookfin, Sr. and Katie Jones Hookfin in McComb, MS. On January 4, 2021 an angel of God visited him and called him home.

He was raised in Kentwood, La. He attended Orange Grove Church of God In Christ where he served on the Trustee Board.  Frankie attended the Tangipahoa Parish School System, he then furthered his education at Florida Parish Vocational Trade School and Hammond Trade School.

Frankie worked at L.A. Dock in Harahan and Avondale ship yard, then he became an entrepreneur and started his own business, Hookfin Small Engine Repair Shop. He was known around the area as the Lawn Mower Man and whatever else you asked of him, he would fix. He was a man of his word, and he will truly be missed by loved ones, family, and friends.

In 1990, he married his lovely wife, Loretta Ramsey of 30 years, to this union they were blessed with four children: Frankie Louis, Jr., Tyrese, Jaden and Corey.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Loretta Hookfin, four children: Frankie Jr., Tyrese, Jaden, and Corey. Three Grandchidren; Codie, Cyran, and Ja'von. His mother; Katie Hookfin; Two Brothers: Felix Hookfin of St. Rose, La and John Hookfin, Jr. of Fort Worth, TX. Three Sisters: Barbara Jones of St. Louis, MO; Frances and Jackie of Kentwood, La; One God Brother: Terrance Collier of Woolbridge, VA.; His Mother & Father-in-law, J.C. and Vergie Ramsey.; Two Sisters-in-law, Tonya and Sonya of Marrero, LA.; Two brothers-in-law, Edward of Portland, OR. and Joel (Jeanette) of Kentwood, LA; and a host of aunts, uncles, neices, and nephews.

Frankie is Preceded in death by his Father, John David Hookfin, Sr. and step-brother James Hookfin.

He was loved and will be missed by many! Sleep on, You have earned your rest!
