Psalm 23: 1-6

The Lord is my Shepard. I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me
beside quiet waters. He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's
sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your
rod, and staff they comfort me. You prepared a table before me in the presence of my enemies
you anoint my head with oil my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all

the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

The Obituary

Floyd Cohn Jr. (aka) Toot was born in Independence, Louisiana to Floyd Cohn Sr. and Mary
Head Cohn on March 22, 1949. Floyd graduated from West Side High School in Amite, LA.
After high school Floyd attended Southern University. While there he was drafted into the
United States Army. This news was devasting to his mother and grandmother as he was an only
child. After completing his time in the United States Army, he returned home, went back to
Southern University to complete his education, majoring in Business Management.
Floyd later married Arties Womack and to this union three children were born. Floyd worked as
an operator for the City of Baton Rouge where he later retired.
On Wednesday, November 24, 2021, Floyd was called to take his eternal rest. He leaves to
cherish his memories to his three sons, Aaron Cohn, Terrance Stewart (Tondra), Keneyata
Walker (Leslie), and one daughter, April Cohn. Four grandchildren, Jacques Johnson, Aaron J.
Cohn, Isahiah Cohn, and Terralyn Stewart. Arties Womack, mother of his children and caregiver
until he departed. A host of friends and family.
Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Cohn Sr. and Mary Head Cohn and his daughter
Pepsi Leann Cohn.

The Message of Gratitude

The Cohn Family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and words of
encouragement. We are grateful to each of you who have shared your acts of compassion during
the passing of our beloved, Floyd. Your love and support will always be remembered. We pray
that God will continue to bless and keep each of you in His care.
