Earnest Bennett, Jr. passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019. He was a native of Independence, LA and a resident of Amite, LA. Earnest was the loving husband of the late Evelyn Bennett. Loving father of Ronald (Carla) Bennett, Felton (Gwen) Jackson, both of Amite, LA; Shelia (Ray) Long and Chana (Ran) Gunn, both of Anniston, AL; Dina Grayer, Felesia Grayer, Gregory Grayer, Myrain Grayer, Paxton (Fidelia) Grayer, Stacey Howard, Tiffeny (Darrell) Perry, Samester (Eric) Johnson, Albert Grayer and the late Janice White. Son of the late Earnest, Sr. and Viola Bennett; also survived by 21 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Family and friends of Earnest Bennett, Jr. are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Gordon Richardson Temple of Deliverance C.O.G.I.C. 10390 Hwy 1045 Amite, LA 70422 at 2:00PM on Saturday, January 26, 2019. Visitation will begin at 12:00PM until the service time. Interment: Mt. Zion Cemetery.
