David B. Sartin Sr. was born to the late Charles and Margaret Rudolph Sartin on October 10th, 1960, in Bogalusa, La. On Friday February 16, 2024, David was called home to be with the Lord. Surrounded by his family.

David worked at the New Orleans Veterans Medical Hospital and Hammond VA Medical Clinic where he retired. He enjoyed helping veterans navigate the benefits process for disabled veterans.

David served in the United States Military. During this service, he was a part of the U.S. Air Force.

David memories will forever be cherished in the heart of his wife Jennie Denise Gatlin Sartin. Two step-daughters: Ashley Gatlin, Fredrekia Gatlin. Two step-grandchildren: Carmiya Brim, Carmandis Brim, Sister, Lydia (Gereld Barclay Sr) od Keller, Texas, Brother Bishop Zorron Sartin of Bogalusa, La. 3 nieces: Sarah Roberts of Bogalusa, LA; Lindsay Williams of Baton Rouge, LA; and Lacey Williams of Lacombe, LA. 3 nephews: Gerald Barclay, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; Zerron Mingo of Angie, LA; and Herman Sartin of Bogalusa, LA. A host of relatives and friends.

He was proceeded in death by his son David Sartin Jr. Parents Charles and Margaret Sartin, Sisters Auntranette Sartin Roberts, and Verónica Ann Williams; neice, Zoeronica Thompson; Maternal Grandparents, Louis and Lucille Rudolph and Paternal grandparents, Ordin Sartin Wells and Jacob Sartin Sr.
