Obituary

Daniel was born on July 26, 1987 to Sandra Ellis and Daniel Dyer, Jr. in New Orleans, LA.  He attended both private and public schools for early learning.  He attended L.E. Rabouin Senior High School in New Orleans and Thorwood High School Chicago, IL, until 2003.  He then joined the US Job Corps and received a Culinary Degree in 2004.   In 2005 Daniel moved to Amite, LA where he attended and graduated St. Amant Academy in Hammond, LA.  Daniel also attended and graduated from Northshore Technical College with a degree in Business Technology in 2015 and was excited about returning to school to pursue his certification in Medical Coding in 2021.  He was a dedicated worker as he began his work career at Wal-Mart and worked for several other organizations including the LA Dept. of Transportation as a dispatcher.

Daniel is best known for being loyal having a loving spirit, he was always happy and brought laughter to those he encountered.  Like his dad, he was a jokester and loved comedy – Kevin Hart, Bernie Mac and Steve Harvey were his favorite comedians.  There were no dull moments with Daniel.  He always knew how to make those around him laugh.  He had a way of memorizing movies, not just a scene but the entire movie, word for word .  Home Alone, the Green Mile, Forrest Gump and the Temptations stood as his all-time favorites. " He should have been an actor ."

During his early childhood, he got hooked on video games with Mario Bros. and Pac Man being his favorites thanks to his mom – they would spend hours playing and battling for years that is until Nick showed up.  Anybody who knew Daniel knew he bled sports –New Orleans SAINTS, black & gold; LSU – purple & gold and the GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS were his favorite teams.  He knew stats like the back of his hand-" We thought he was a paid sports commentator! "

With Daniel, family mattered most!   Daniel believed in spending time with his family, his humble spirit and his big heart - so BIG we don't know how his body could contain it the length of time it did .   It was always a joy to be in his company as he made everyone happy – there were no dull moments.

He always wanted to make others happy, but he had a special love for children almost like a guardian angel.   Given the opportunity to share with them he would make them smile and bring them happiness.  Tell him he was special and he would quickly remind you that " He was God's Special Child." No doubt, that he was!

Daniel loved the Lord; he was introduced to God at an early age.  He was baptized by Pastor Samuel R. Blakes in 1994 at New Home Full Gospel Ministries in New Orleans, LA .  He has been a part of several other ministries throughout the years but in 2008 he became a founding member of Holy Trinity Healing & Deliverance (HTHD) Ministry where he served the Lord, his mom, Pastor Sandra and his church family faithfully as a Jr. deacon and finance clerk.   Daniel truly had a servant's heart as he volunteered to do whatever was necessary in so many capacities with a smile and never a NO!  Daniel was a man was a man a faith, believed in the Father and prayed daily.  On Sat., Dec. 26, 2020 lovingly taken home by His Heavenly Father lovingly took him home to remove all his pain and suffering.   Daniel's infectious laugh, goofy dances, and boundless love will forever be missed by all those that love and knew him.   Daniel will be missed by many but especially by those whom he called his family.
