Charles Edward Harvey was born on April 17, 1942 to the late Helen Ginn Harvey and Hosie Harvey, Lallie Kemp Medical Center, Independence, LA.  He was the eldest of five (5) siblings.

Charles confessed the Lord at an early age at Big Zion A.M.E. and later moved his membership to Little Bethel Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Frank A. Davis, III-ThD, until he relocated to Hammond, LA and joined Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Ponchatoula, LA, under the leadership of Reverend Roy Burton, Sr.

Charles attended Amite Schools and graduated from WestSide High School, Class of 1961.Charles had a passion for truck driving and pursued employment as an over-the-road truck driver for over 40 years. He was a past member of the Community Trucker's Club.

Charles was preceded in death by his Parents, Helen Ginn-Harvey and Hosie Harvey, two (2) Sons, Hosie Harvey and Michael Harvey, Sister, Brenda Harvey, Brother, Floyd Harvey, Uncle, James Ginn and Aunt, Lucille Burton.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories – Daughters, Shuna Harvey and Nakeisha Harvey, New Orleans, LA, Shannon Burton, Fluker, LA, Wanda Every, Hammond, LA, Appollonia Carral, Houston, TX and Chasiti Harvey, Hammond, LA; Sons, Bryant Harvey, Joseph Harvey and Malcolm Harvey, New Orleans, LA; Brothers, Bernard Harvey, Kenneth (Lucy) Harvey and Carl (Gail) Harvey, Marksville, LA; 22 Grandchildren and 28 Great-Grandchildren; Aunt, Eva Mae Harvey, Hammond, LA, two (2) Uncles, Charles Harvey and Preston Harvey, Baton Rouge, LA and a host of other relatives and friends.
