Mr. Charles Edward Dyson was born to Mr. and Mrs. John (Sammie) Dyson on April 20, 1954. He was called home by the angel of the Lord on Friday, October 5, 2018, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, LA. Charles enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. The community mechanic, the memory will never be forgotten for working on vehicles and doing so with expertise and excellent customer service. Our hearts are truly filled with sadness at the passing of one as modest, humble, loving and kind as Charles. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Connie Bates Dyson, Roseland, LA; five daughters, Bernadette Renee Walker, Oklahoma City, OK, Tenisha (Felton) Dyson-Foster and Shannon A. Dyson, Angie, LA, Latoya L. Bates, Fluker, LA, and Tuanisha Bates (Melvin) Climmons, Kentwood, LA; 13 grandchildren, Charles Jr., Ronald and Loquisha Walker, Christian and Chloe Foster, Dantasia, Chaston, Chasidy and Chandler Dyson, Trevon, Keon and Taleigh Bates, and Ma'laysia Climmons; 3 great grandchildren; 3 sisters Evelyn McGee, Virgie Johnson, and Balanda (Rev. Joe) Chaney; 3 brothers Johnnie Dyson, Wallace (Suzette) Dyson, and Anthony Dyson; and a host of relatives and friends. Charles was preceded in death by: his parents, John and Sammie Dyson; his maternal grandparents, Sam and Bertha Bell; and paternal grandparents, Luther and Evie Cutrer Dyson.
