Britt Leigh Boyd, 64, of Kentwood, LA, passed away Saturday, Oct. 28th, 2023.

He was born at USNH, Agana Heights, Guam, Dec. 13th, 1958, he was the son of Darlene (Bice) Boyd, and the late John R. Boyd Sr.

Britt attended West High School in Wichita, KS, and entered the work force as an auto body repairman, then transitioned to the aircraft manufacturing sector.  He worked for Beech Aircraft and Boeing Aircraft as a sheet metal operator for seventeen years. He then began his new career as an OTR long haul truck driver working for UPS, North American, and independently for Atlas. He closed out his career working shorter routes for O'Reilly Auto Parts.

He was well known for his playful teasing sense of humor. His passions included his family, and running a close second was his beloved KC Chiefs. This led to a good natured rivalry with his mother, Darlene, a devoted Saints fan.

Britt is survived by his son Brandon, daughter-in-law Ciara, his son Kyle, daughter-in-law Kayla, grandsons Britt, and Jace, mother Darlene, brother John, sisters Teresa and Pamela, and brother Steven. He is also survived by his Uncle David, Aunt Betty, Uncle James, cousins Judy and (Ben), and David and (Chris), former wives Mary and Kelli, and a lot of nieces and nephews.

Britt will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
