Beloved Mrs. Betty Jean Moore Alexander, 67 of Fluker, La passed away Friday night, November 8, 2019 at her family residence in Tangipahoa, La.
Betty Jean Moore Alexander was born on January 29, 1952 to the late Charlie Moore Jr and Eula Mae Moore. She was truly a blessing to her family. She accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. Simmons Hookfin, Fluker Chapel AME. She continued her Christianity journey under the leadership of Dr. Bobby R. Showers Sr., where it continued under the leadership of Pastor Bobby Showers Jr, at Fluker Community Missionary Baptist Church, as a faithful member until her health declined. She served as a choir member, choir President and worked closely with the Pastor aide. Betty had a great personality that would capture the heart of everyone she came in contact with. She was the "Madea" that kept the family together. Betty graduated high school in 1970. She later received her CNA Certified Nursing Assistance license at Greensburg, La. She worked many years as a Home Health Nursing Assistant. Which allowed her to visit many homes and hospitals. Betty was married to the late John Henry Lee Sr. Which through that union four children's were born. She later married Berry Micheal Alexander. She leaves to cherish her memories to her husband Berry Micheal Alexander of Independence, la. One daughter Katina Lee Brumfield (Nathaniel) of Kentwood, la. Three sons, Fredrick Lee of Fluker, la. John Henry Lee Jr (Bridgette) of Independence. La. Derrick Lee of Meridian, Mississippi. Five step daughters, April, Toya, Treice, Linda, and Twyanna. Two brothers, Charlie Moore 3rd of Fluker, la. Marshall McKnight of Tangipahoa, la. Five sisters, Charlene Ross, Joyce Giles of Fluker, la. Debra Perry of Tangipahoa, la. Helen Moore of Laurel, Mississippi and Sybil Ridgley of Douglas ville, Ga. Five sister in laws, Deloris Richardson, Edna Lee of Fluker, la. Debra, Yvonne, and Katrina Alexander all of Independence, la. Two brother in law's Dennis Alexander of, Hammond, la
Lloyd Alexander ( Tammie) of Springfield, la. (10) grand kids (4) great grand kids and a host of nieces and nephews. Betty peacefully departed this life on November 8, 2019 at her residence in Tangipahoa, la. She is preceded in death by her Father Charlie Moore Jr. Mother Eula Mae Moore. Brother Freddie Moore Sr. Two sisters Geraldine Brumfield and Carolyn Ruffin
