Sis. Barbara Jean Washington Bragg was born on December 22, 1944 in Sicily Island, Louisiana, to Rosie Washington Taylor. Sis. Barbara was a meek, mild mannered, loving and kindhearted person.

At an early age, she was baptized by Rev. B.J. Washington of the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Winnfield, Louisiana. After relocating, Barbara later moved her membership to Richardson Chapel COGIC, under the leadership of Bishop Charles H. Gordon.
Barbara was educated in Winn Parish School System, graduating from Pinecrest High School. After graduation, she attended and graduated with a degree in special education from Southern University. She was employed by East Baton Rouge Parish School System as a Special Education Teacher for over 23 years. Her love for teaching students with special needs was exemplified throughout her career.
Sis. Barbara was a meek, mild mannered, loving and kindhearted person.

Barbara was united in holy matrimony to Coach Edward E Bragg, and to this union four handsome boys were born, Darron, Edward Earl, Warren, and Jeremy Bragg.Barbara affectionately known as "Bobbie," was an adorable, compassionate, and giving person. She had a special passion for taking care of her family members and anyone who needed a helping hand. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and cooking large meals for everyone.

On Tuesday, October 27, 2020, Barbara departed this life at Lexington Medical Center Hospital in Lexington County, South Carolina for a better home in glory to be with her Lord and Savior.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband: Edward E. Bragg; her mother: Rosie W. Taylor; her brother: Carlos Hall, Jr.; her grandson: Tyrel Bragg; and her great-granddaughter: Amari Robinson.
She leaves to cherish her memories, four devoted sons: Darron (Maria), Edward Earl (Yolanda) and Warren Bragg all of Baton Rouge, LA and Jeremy (Donna) Bragg of Lexington, SC, ; two brothers: Charles (Gwen) Washington and Clyde Hall of Baton Rouge, LA; 15 loving grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; a loving aunt: Florina Frazier; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
